About the role
Council is offering the opportunity to join the Operations Team, undertaking Sportsfield maintenance while studying to achieve a Certificate III – Sports Turf Management Trade qualification.
Reporting to the Supervisor Sportsfields & Golf Courses, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Undertaking maintenance of sportsfields, gardens and adjacent areas
- Turf maintenance, pest and disease control, weed control, litter pickup, mulching, pruning, weeding, fertilising, watering, tree/shrub removal, planting, chemical application
Required experience & skills:
- Year 10 Record of School Achievement or Higher School Certificate
- Committment to undertaking a trade in Horticulture Sports Turf Management
- Current Class C Driver’s licence
- Willing to undertake WHS Construction Induction Certificate (White Card) training
- Willing to undertake Chemical AQF 3 training
