About the role
As a Student Urban Planner, you will work alongside experienced professionals on a range of urban planning projects, while contributing your unique perspective and learning the key elements of the industry.
Reporting to the Team Leader Urban Planning, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Undertake research for local planning studies and urban design studies
- Assist in the preparation of material to support the Ku-ring-gai Local Environmental Plan and Development Control Plan
- Assist in the preparation of planning reports
- Participate in community consultations and planning activities
- Provide basic planning advice and information to other sections of Council and to members of the public
Qualifications, skills & experience
- Currently studying (and have completed more than half) of an Urban Planning degree
- Current Class C Driver’s Licence
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a diverse team environment
