About the role
Council is looking for a dynamic and detail-driven Project Management Office (PMO) Analyst to join our team and help shape the future of our community.
As a PMO Analyst, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the successful delivery of Council’s project delivery program. From strategic planning to performance reporting, you’ll be at the heart of ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, sustainably and in alignment with Council priorities.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Manage and maintain Council’s project delivery program, ensuring accurate tracking, prioritisation and reporting.
- Support project governance and portfolio management, identifying improvements and optimising investment decisions.
- Develop and review business cases aligned with strategic objectives and long-term financial sustainability.
- Analyse and present data-driven insights to senior leaders to inform strategic decisions.
- Coordinate project planning and delivery across the 4-year delivery plan, balancing resources, budgets and stakeholder needs.
- Monitor project performance, risks, interdependencies and financial outcomes, ensuring timely and high-quality reporting.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Relevant degree (Project Management, Commerce, Construction or similar) and a Class C Driver’s Licence.
- Experience in a PMO or project environment, supporting governance, reporting and delivery.
- Strong understanding of project management frameworks and the full project lifecycle.
- Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to turn complex data into clear insights and recommendations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and deliver outcomes within budget.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills.
