About the role
Council is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Plant Operator – Sportsfields to join our Open Space Services team and help keep our sporting facilities safe, attractive, and well-maintained for the local community.
Reporting to the Team Leader Sportsfields, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Operate a range of plant and equipment
- Carry out turf and ground maintenance across sportsfields, parks, and reserves
- Assist with line marking, irrigation, and preparation of sporting surfaces
- Work collaboratively with the team to deliver high-quality open space services
- Ensure all work complies with safety and environmental standards
Qualifications, skills & experience:
- Experience operating plant and equipment in parks or turf maintenance
- Knowledge of turf management practices, including mowing and irrigation
- Valid MR licence
- WHS White Card
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Chemcert certificate
- A can-do attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
