About the role
We are currently seeking a qualified Early Childhood Teacher to join our vibrant team of educators.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a purpose-built, community-focused centre that values play-based learning, strong relationships, and continuous professional growth.
Reporting to the Director - Thomas Carlyle Children's Centre, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Plan, implement, and evaluate engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences based on the Early Years Learning Framework
- Create a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child feels a strong sense of belonging
- Build strong, respectful, and collaborative relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Document children’s learning through observations, learning stories, and portfolios
- Lead and support room staff to ensure high-quality practice and compliance with regulations and centre policies
- Promote a safe and healthy environment, ensuring all duty of care and child protection responsibilities are met
Required qualifications, experience & skills:
- Bachelor of Teaching/Education in Early Childhood (or equivalent) approved by ACECQA
- NESA Teacher Accreditation
- Child Protection Training Certificate
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate
- Current Working With Children Check
- A genuine love for teaching and inspiring young children
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning space
