About the role
Council is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Arts & Cultural Coordinator to lead our arts programming and play a pivotal role in shaping the cultural future of the centre.
As the Arts & Cultural Coordinator, you will be responsible for the hands-on, day-to-day administration and leadership of the Art Centre’s programs and operations.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the day-to-day administration and operations of the Art Centre
- Planning, implementing and evaluating arts and cultural programs, workshops, events and exhibitions
- Leading, supervising and developing staff, including performance review and training
- Developing and maintaining partnerships with community groups, cultural organisations and stakeholders
- Overseeing budgets, financial performance and identifying income-generating opportunities
- Preparing marketing plans and promotional materials in collaboration with Council teams
- Providing high-quality customer service and resolving issues as required
- Supporting continuous improvement across programs, processes and team performance
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in an arts-related field and/or business administration
- Current Working with Children Check
- Significant experience in a similar arts or cultural coordination/management role
- Strong leadership skills with experience developing and supervising staff
- Demonstrated ability to innovate, lead change and improve service delivery
- Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
- Strong organisational, time management and project management capabilities
- High-level budget management and financial oversight skills
- Ability to develop financially viable programs in a competitive environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
