- Salary $127,037.56 to $147,362.80 p/a + super
- Permanent full time position – 35 hours per week

Expressions of Interest are sought from suitably qualified and experienced Ku-ring-gai Council employees for the role of Communications Coordinator.
As our Communications Coordinator, you will coordinate Council’s digital communications — overseeing our website, intranet, social media and e-newsletters — while ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience for our community.
You will also lead a small team of communications and design professionals, manage budgets and contribute to creative campaigns that inform and inspire.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinating the maintenance of Council’s website and intranet, ensuring high standards of usability, accessibility and content quality
- Providing strategic digital advice across departments to improve online service delivery and digitalise traditional manual processes
- Overseeing the Council’s social media channels and the creation of engaging daily content and implementing strategies to grow audiences
- Leading Council’s graphic design and print operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality promotional, corporate and advertising materials
- Project managing large-scale digital initiatives to continuously improve Council’s communication platforms and online presence
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- A relevant degree in marketing, communications, or digital technology (or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience)
- Proven experience managing websites, digital media, and large-scale online projects
- Demonstrated success in delivering user-focused digital experiences across multiple platforms
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing, social media and e-newsletter trends
- Experience developing and implementing communication and marketing strategies
- Excellent copywriting, design editing, and project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead staff, manage budgets, and foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment
