About the role
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Council is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Youth Services Coordinator to lead and grow our youth programs across the community.
Based in our vibrant Community Development team, the Youth Services Coordinator will play a key role in designing, implementing and evaluating youth initiatives that promote inclusion, wellbeing, and community connection for young people aged 12–24 in the Ku-ring-gai area.
You’ll collaborate with local schools, service providers, youth groups, and internal teams to create impactful programs that amplify youth voices and meet identified community needs.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and deliver innovative youth programs and events
- Build strong partnerships with stakeholders and community groups
- Lead youth engagement initiatives and provide strategic support to the Council Youth Advisory Committee
- Prepare funding applications, reports and evaluations to support program development
- Coordinate the development of Council’s Youth Strategy and Policy
Required experience & skills:
- A degree in social sciences or a related field
- Experience working with young people and coordinating community-based programs
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Knowledge of issues affecting young people and best practices in youth engagement
- A current Working with Children Check and NSW driver’s licence
